Grand Antique D'Aubert
GRAND ANTIQUE marble from AUBERT has been absent from the market for around 70 years. It is quarried in France, in the Lez River valley at Aubert, southeast of Saint-Girons, in the Ariège department.
This prestigious marble features a striking black and white appearance. Its bold color contrast is highly distinctive and unlike any other marble of similar tones.
The formation of this tectonic breccia, composed of very black limestone clasts and pure white calcite, dates back to the Late Cretaceous, resulting from the folding of the Northern Pyrenean zone approximately 65 million years ago.
